For Humans, including babies:

•  Adults: A 2-3% dilution is generally safe for most purposes, which equates to about 10-12 drops of essential oil per ounce of carrier oil.
• Babies: Use a lower dilution, around 0.25% to 0.5%, which is about 1-2 drops of essential oil per ounce of carrier oil.

 

For Pets:

• Dogs: A safe dilution ratio is typically around 0.5% to 1%, which means adding about 1-2 drops of essential oil per ounce of carrier oil.

• Cats: Their systems are more sensitive, so it's best to avoid direct application of essential oils on them. However, diffusing oils in well-ventilated areas can be safer, but always monitor for any adverse reactions.
